Today, for the second day of the Blogging Marathon on Kid Friendly recipes, I am here with 'Broccoli and Cauliflower fritters or pakodis'.
Well pakodis can be made out of any veggie and they will be yummy and tasty for sure.
When I first saw this in PJ's blog, I was very tempted to make it. And my kids like love anything fried! :)
Only thing was, I didn't have was besan so used Corn flour instead. And along wth cauliflower, I made use of some broccoli which was sitting in my fridge!!
They were gone immediately, but I had made them to go along with rice and for dinner!!
Ingredients:
15-20 cauliflower florets
15 to 20 broccoli florets
1/2 cup corn flour
2-3 tsp rice flour
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
1/2 tsp coriander cumin powder
Oil for frying
Red chilli powder or Chat masala for garnish
Method:
Wash the florets, salt them and cook in MW for about a minute or two, not more than that. Drain any excess water that has come out.
Make a smooth batter, not too thin, but kind of thick.
When the oil is hot enough, dip the florets in the batter and slowly drop into oil.
Remove onto a paper napkin, when they have browned.
Sprinkle chat masala or red chilli powder for garnish and serve hot!
Enjoy!!!
